Bremshey Treadline Ambition T Treadmill

The newly updated Bremshey Ambition T treadmill is a solid and understated rather than spectacular looking running machine. Second in line in the Bremshey treadmills range, this machine has a few noteworthy upgrades from the previously reviewed Bremshey Scout.

Bremshey have pumped up the power on the Ambitions motor. This model has a full 2.75HP, which is a powerful motor for a treadmill at this price point. For comparison, the Bremshey Scout was rated at 2.2HP and the previous incarnation of the Ambition was previously 2.5HP. Suprisingly though, the top speed for the machine is still quoted at only 10mph (approx 16 km/h). This will be more than sufficient for most runners though.

What the larger motor does allow is for the Ambition to be able to accommodate a runner up to 330lbs (150kg). That’s at the top range of treadmills that can cost twice as much as this model. The Bremshey Ambition treadmill can be elevated up to a 10% incline in 1% increments to allow you to add hill walking/running into your exercise routine.

The Ambition features the same running area as the Scout, which is a decently proportioned 52 x 150cm (20×59inches), again this is a large running area for a machine in this class. It also features the same cushioning system as the lower-rated model, which we found to offer a decent level of protection to the joints.

The new Ambition has an upgraded computer console, and we are really pleased to see a few more in-built programmes on this one. There are a total of nine programmes on this model, of which one is heart-rate controlled. You probably already know that HRC programmes are designed to give you the optimum work-out for your heart-rate. In addition, the new and improved console also spits out the usual feedback information including Speed, Time, Distance, Energy consumption, Elevation and Heart rate. A bank of quick-keys let you easily set the machines elevation or speed with a single button press.

This runner has an inbuilt receiver so you can use a wireless chest strap for heart rate measurement if you require (note that this is optional though, so will be an extra cost). alternatively, you can use the hand-sensors to measure your pulse although at a faster pace this really ties up your arms.

We were impressed by the warranty in general on the Bremshey range, with the Ambition being covered on-site for up to two years. In addition to this, the machine has a full 15 year warranty on the frame and motor.

The Bremshey Ambition T treadmill is a good value treadmill, with a decent sized motor and good features for its price bracket.
