Horizon Evolve Folding Treadmill

The Horizon Evolve treadmill is part of the “Ultra-Compact” fitness equipment range from this manufacturer. If your looking for a folding treadmill that takes up the absolute minimum in space, then this machine could be you. When folded, this machine is literally only 10 inches deep, meaning that it can be folded flat and conveniently pressed against a wall or slid under a bed.

Be warned if you’re looking for a treadmill for serious running then I’d look elsewhere. The motor on the machine is rated at a lowly 1.25HP with a maximum speed only up to 6mph. This running machine is really only suitable for walking or light jogging. Also be aware that the maximum weight of the user on this treadmill is up to 113Kg (250llb). These are some of the trade-offs when trying to cram a motorised treadmill into such a small package.

Horizon haven’t really attempted to pack this treadmill with features either. There are no incline levels on this machine at all and the on-board computer only has a lowly number of two programmes built into the machine, but there is a heart rate sensor is built into the handles, so you can measure your pulse rate whilst exercising. The computer console also feeds back information such as time spent exercising, current speed, distance walked and calories burned.

On a more positive note the running machine has a slightly wider running belt than other treadmills in this class, it’s size is 120cm x 43cm (47″ x 17″). The running belt is also cushioned to help reduce wear and tear on your joints. The machine comes fully assembled so you’ll be able to use it as soon as you get it home.

That being said, Horizon certainly have faith in the quality of their running machines, the Horizon Evolve treadmill comes with a lifetime warranty on the motor and frame, with 3 Years Parts & Labour on the rest of the machine.

In conclusion, if your looking for a compact motorised treadmill that you can pull out of the box and start using immediately, then this machine ticks all those boxes.
