NordicTrack T12 Si is an exceptional treadmill from one of the largest manufacturers of home fitness equipment in the world. It has a huge 3.0 HP continuous duty motor that give the well cushioned belt a top speed of 12.5mph and an incline of 12%. Its built in programmes including those that are heart rate controlled will give challenging workouts to users of all levels.
The belt on the T12 Si measures 150cm x 51cm and as it is so well cushioned, your run will be comfortable and kind to your joints. Because of this, the T12 Si is the perfect treadmill for those who are keen to avoid injury as well as those that may be recovering from one.
There are plenty of built in programmes to keep your workouts varied including 12 that are dedicated to speed and incline intervals, 2 that are heart rate controlled and 4 that the user can create and save. Alternatively you can opt for full manual control and take advantage of the 20kph top speed and 12% maximum incline.
To unlock the heart rate control functionality you just need a compatible chest belt that transmits on the 5kHz frequency. When taking part in a heart rate controlled programme, the treadmill will receive data from the belt and then adjust the intensity of the workout so that your heart rate remains in the correct zone. This guarantees a safe and effective workout, whatever your goals may be.
The T12 Si is also compatible with IFit cards. These SD cards contain structured workouts, usually over 8 weeks and can have specific goals such as weight loss or improving. You just insert them into the console and follow the vocal instructions as the treadmill adjusts the workout intensity.
The T12 has a large console with 5 red LED displays that give you constant feedback on your performance with information such as: current speed, incline, distance covered, time elapsed, theoretical calories burned and pulse rate. The console also contains speakers that connect to your mp3 player too.
When you are finished and want to reclaim back some floor space, simply lift up the belt and use the integrated transport wheels.
