Proform 3.8 Folding Treadmill

The Proform 3.8 has many of the features that made the 3.6 such a feature packed machine. The machine has a fairly large running deck, with it’s dimensions at a respectable 140cm x 48cm. The longer deck is better when exercising at top speed or at a steep incline. The running deck is also cushioned but unlike the 3.6, the Proform 3.8 utilizes the ProResponseTM Impact Reducing Cushioning, which Proform state is an improvement over the the ProTech IIITM system. It is designed to give firmer support when your foot strikes and leaves the deck.The 3.8 has the same motor and incline as the Proform 3.6 treadmill. The motor runs at 1.75HP continuous and the motorised incline can be hitched up to a respectable 10% incline level.

The major problem when undertaking any sort of exercise regime, is keeping yourself interested beyond the novelty factor of the first couple of weeks, this is where the 3.8 excels. The Proform 3.8 attempts to alleviate this with the addition of the iFit® Fitness Journal. This allows you to get a daily, weekly, monthly or yearly report on your progress. These details can be stored for up to two runners.

In addition to being able to store progress details, the 3.8 also has 6 Classic iFit® Workouts built-in to the console, with another two slots being available to create your own. These programmes regulate the speed and incline levels of the machine automatically and are designed with goals in mind, such as attaining maximum aerobic exercise or weightloss during your run.

Similar to the Proform 3.6, the 3.8 comes with a pretty good warranty for a machine in this price-bracket. The frame on this running machine is guaranteed for the machine’s lifetime. The motor is also covered for a full five years and the treadmill also has a two year on-site parts and labour warranty.
