Tunturi Treadmills
Tunturi treadmills are manufactured by the Accell Group who also make the Bremshey Treadmill range also discussed on this site. Tunturi were originally a road bike manufacturer who have taken their bike experience and expanded into the gym. They now produce a range of exercise bikes, treadmill running machines and elliptical cross trainers. Tunturi have an excellent reputation and are renowned for making top quality, reliable exercise equipment.
The Tunturi treadmill range is not aimed at the budget market, but is pitched straight in at the mid-price range competing with brands such as ProForm and Bowflex. The entry level machine can be bought for around £750 if you shop around. The top-end of the Tunturi range is competing with treadmills from the likes of Vision and Life Fitness and can cost up to £3000.
If you look at all the treadmills from Tunturi, you’ll see that they all have powerful motors that allow the machines to be pushed to high speeds and steep inclines. Each machine comes fitted with the fully shock absorbent T-Flex deck structure which changes the tension of the belt depending on the speed setting of the treadmill. Their comfortable running decks help reduce the stress on your joints, important if overweight, recovering from injury or are just prone to joint injuries.
Tunturi backs up its treadmills with a reasonable if not ground-breaking warranty. Each running machine is covered by 15 years frame and motor and 2 years parts & labour. After purchasing your machine it may be possible to get an extra years parts & labour cover if you register it with Tunturi.
