York T101 Treadmill

York quickly set the stall out with the York T101 treadmill. York state early on in their marketing blurb that the T101 is “perfect for walking and light running with a top speed of 13 km/h”. So serious runners can safely rule out the York T101.

So what features does the York T101 Treadmill offer?

First off the warranty for the machine is half decent. It comes with a 2 year parts and labour guarantee, along with a lifetime frame and 10 year motor cover.

As far as fitness programmes go, this machine is comparable with other treadmills in this class and features nine workout programmes. These programmes basically ramp the running machine speed up/down to give you different workouts. You can monitor your heart-rate whilst exercising by placing your hands on the “hand pulse sensors” on the front bars of the treadmill. To help further vary your workouts further is the manual three level incline that gives you a slight gradient to walk/run against.

Other features for this treadmill include the 120×40cm running mat that will carry a runner that weighs up to 120kg.

One thing that this machine does have that’s missing from my budget Reebok model is an accessory tray with a water bottle holder. Every treadmill should have a water bottle holder!

So, in a nutshell a treadmill with decent features for the bargain basement. If you’re looking for a treadmill for light use with a decent set of programmes and adequate warranty, then this machine is worth a look.
