York T102 Heritage Treadmill

At first glance, you’d be forgiven for thinking that the snappily titled York Heritage T102 treadmill is anything but a re-badged York T101.

And to be honest, you’d be forgiven for thinking this. First off the similarities. The T102 pretty much looks like the T101, but don’t get me wrong I think the York treadmill range is fairly appealing to the eye. The T102 can be classed as a casual walker/jogger treadmill having a maximum speed of 1-13 kph / 0.6-8 mph, although 13 kph is a fair speed for light jogging.

Also in common with the T101 is the on-board computer which has the nine in-built programmes that also shows distance covered and current speed. Not suprisingly, the motor and fairly meesly running area of 120cm x 40cm is the same as the T101.

The York T102’s warranty is as you’d pretty much expect with a “budget” running machine with a ten year guarantee for the motor, along with 2 years parts and labour.

The main advantage of the T102 is that it has a motorised incline that goes from 0% up to 10% instead of the manual 3-position incline of the T101 running machine. The other main addition is the cushioned running deck. Being that jogging/running is a fairly high impact exercise as far as the joints go, this is a welcome addition.

So in summary, if you’re looking for a hobbyist treadmill and were tempted by the T101 then the additional motorised incline and cushioned running deck of the York T102 treadmill may make it worth trading up to this running machine.
