York T202 Anniversary Folding Treadmill

When comparing treadmills from the same manufacturer it’s interesting to see what you get for your extra pounds if you move up a model or two. The York T202 has a few added extras over the York T201 treadmill that are worth paying the extra cash, especially if you are a fairly dedicated runner.

First off the motor on the York T202 has a little more grunt than some of the cheaper models. This running machine has a 2HP continuous motor, giving it more grunt to pull the larger runner. This machine will accommodate a person up to 150kg, which is 20kg more than the York T201. The treadmill also has a larger running area than the lower budget model in this class, giving you a more accommodating area of 127cm x 45cm to run on. As you would expect, the running bed on the T202 is cushioned to reduce impact too.

As far as the on-board computer for this running machine, it comes with 13 programs (which is 4 more than the T201). It also makes use of the Heart Rate Contolled feature that automatically increases/decreases the incline to help you keep your heart-rate within defined limits. The handlebars on the machine have a set of heart rate monitors that measure your pulse when you place your hands on them. The incline can be controlled via the on-board computer and ranges from 0% (flat) up to a 10% incline level.

If you like listening to music whilst running, the York T202 treadmill also allows you to connect an MP3 player so that you can listen to music via the twin in-built speakers.

As far as a warranty for the machine, the York T202 Treadmill comes with 2 years parts and labour with a Lifetime frame and 10 years motor. This is fairly typical of a treadmill in this price bracket.
